36 Foreigners Take an Oath of Allegiance for Receiving Cambodian Nationality

Phnom Penh- On Monday morning 1st August 2016, 36 foreigners which have immigrated into Cambodia for many years, went to Supreme Court to take an oath of allegiance for receiving the Cambodian Nationality, according to the report.
The oath was organized by 5 members of council including Mr. Chiv Keng, the Deputy President of the Supreme Court and the Head of members of council, Ms. Chea Leang, the Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court, and Ms. Khut Sokunthea, The Clerk of the Supreme Court.
Those 36 foreigners came from different countries such as Chinese 14, Korea 5, Taiwanese 3, Indonesian 2, Singaporean 2, Vietnamese 2, Italian 1, Thailand 1, Philippine 1, Canadian 1, Laotian 1, English 1, French 1, and Malaysian 1.
The King of Cambodia has already signed to confirm Cambodian nationality to those 36 foreigners, but before they can get a full rights of being Cambodian people, they have to go to the Supreme Court to take an oath of allegiance.
