40 Mobile Clinics to be Provided in Cambodia By China
Phnom Penh- With healthcare being hard to reach in the rural parts of provinces in Cambodia, mobile clinics could be the solution to better accessible healthcare.
A signing ceremony was held on February the 1st at the Ministry of Health, according to Health Minister Mam Bun Heng and Economic and Commercial Advisor for the Chinese embassy, Ly An.
Phnom Penh- With healthcare being hard to reach in the rural parts of provinces in Cambodia, mobile clinics could be the solution to better accessible healthcare.
A signing ceremony was held on February the 1st at the Ministry of Health, according to Health Minister Mam Bun Heng and Economic and Commercial Advisor for the Chinese embassy, Ly An.
20 of the first mobile clinics will be transported Cambodia by April with the remaining 20 to arrive in October. The mobile clinics would travel across the country especially towards the rural parts of Cambodia to help the poor with medical equipment that can carry out hospital duties including pediatrics, gynecology, obstetrics.
According to the Minister of Health, “This is a new project after two hospital building projects were signed and the health clinics would be especially helpful to the poor”, he said. He also added that China has provided Cambodia with plentiful help in the past. Between 2001 and October 2017, China has provided a total of USD 4.8 billion”.
