It’s that time of the year again when the weather is exceptionally hot in Cambodia, too hot that you could almost fried an egg on the road. Just kidding. But yeah, it’s definitely boiling out there as April is known to be Cambodia’s hottest month, with a temperature that could even rise up to 40°C. So, what should we do to beat this scorching heat? Here are some ideas to keep yourselves cool down during this blazing weather:
- Treat yourself to ice cream
Go to an ice cream parlor. Get yourself a chocolate ice cream, or vanilla, or anything that suits your taste. You can also ring up your friends to join the ice cream feast. Never say no to ice cream, especially not in this kind of burning heat.
- Head to the beach
Gather your squad and head down to the beach. Picnic on the beach with refreshing, icy drinks and enjoy some splashy swimming in the sea. Great time with your favorite people, great way to battle with the heatwave.
- Hit the pool
Couldn’t make it to the beach? No problem. Find the nearest swimming pool, or even better, a waterpark. Have fun goofing around and chilling with your friends. A pool party with some barbeque would be even more fantastic.
- Grab some cold drinks
Bring your books, or laptop. Go to your favorite café. Order some cold drinks. Drown yourself in a novel, listening to music, or finish up some works. Still better than staying at home, right?
- Water fights in the backyard
Need something more fun and exciting? Call up your gangs, find an appropriate place, preferably a backyard. Fill up your balloons and water guns, and start your water fights. Certainly an entertaining way to escape from the heat.
