A Thief Used Simple Trick to Steal A Motorbike from Rose Condo Parking Lot

Phnom Penh- A brazen thief has been caught on video stealing a motorbike in broad daylight, even under the security check.

The motorbike was stolen from a parking lot at “Rose Condo”, which locates in Phnom Penh, on Saturday 16^th September. The videos were shared to Camsocial to show how the thief ran away with the stolen bike.

According to owner of the stolen bike, who works as a cleaner at one company, said that, “My motorbike is C125 Dream 2017 with a plate number PHNOM PENH 1GS-5431. Normally, I use the monthly service for parking in the condo, so my bike is parking with the stamp instead of parking ticket. I was really surprised, when I didn’t see my bike after coming from work. And after checking surveillance cameras, I realized that my bike was stolen already”.

Videos from surveillance cameras showed a young man with a mask and covered his head with a helmet, gave a parking ticket to the security guard, while he was riding on the stolen bike, and ran away safely.

Based on reports, the thief used the trick by bringing an old motorbike to park in the condo parking lot, in order to get a parking ticket. Then, he parked his old one near the stolen motorbike, and after that he swapped the parking ticket, which was tied with the old motorbike to the stolen one, and simply went out from the parking lot without any notice from security guard.

This case is now under investigation by police. And we also hope this news are shared by netizens in order to recover the motorbike for the victim.
