“BarCamp ASEAN 2017” Held Under the Theme “Tech and Start-Up” At ITC

Phnom Penh: Known as one of the biggest annual technology event, BarCamp ASEAN 2017 has gain public attention with many interesting topics and panel discussions under the theme “Tech and Start-Up”.

The event gathered together the startup founders, tech professional, mentors & trainers, creative designers, video & photographers, educators and students from many places in Cambodia to the discussion and exchange of knowledge related to Tech, Biz Startup, Creative, Entrepreneurship and Career Development.

During the event, participants have shown their positive impressions toward business startups, business canvas model, pitching ideas, product and customer development, technology for their daily work, study and business, digital branding and marketing, creative video & photography and more.

There are also many new programs happening in this event, including Student Showcase, which allowed students from high schools and universities to show their projects regarding technology and innovative products.

In addition, the pitching idea competition has also been conducted with the aim to enhance the youth in developing new innovative ideas for start-ups and the strategies. The selected teams are chosen to present their ideas and answer the questions from judges and the audience.

Other new interesting program in this great annual technology event is the panel discussion, where all the startup founders and professionals are invited to discuss regarding the topic of ICT in education, the strategies and obstacles during the start-up process.

It is notable that BarCamp Phnom Penh has been successfully organized since 2008, and this year the event is named as “The BarCamp ASEAN 2017” with the aim to bring all together BarCamp organizers, Technology Professionals and Tech Startups as well as students and youths in ASEAN countries to share and showcase their new Tech and Innovations in Phnom Penh city, Cambodia.
