Beung Yak Loum Listed in Earth Prom’s 15 Most Beautiful Crater Lakes Around the World

PHNOM PENH– Yak Loum gets featured in Earth Prom’s 15 Most Beautiful Crater Lakes around the world.

Earth Prom has released its 15 Most Beautiful Crater Lakes around the world and Cambodia’s majestic, unique, and mysterious lake “Beung Yak Loum” is one of the top 15.

Earth Prom listed Beung Yak Loum as No.13 crater lake. It highlights the breath-taking view of the lake along with the descriptive caption of Beung Yak Loum. It stated that Crater Lake Yak Loum is located in the dense rain forests of Cambodia. 4,000 years ago a violent volcano created this 157-foot-deep lake which holds clean and clear water.

Boueng Yak Loum is located in Yak Loam commune, Ban Loung district, Rathanakiri province, Cambodia.  Bueng Yak Loum was formed by result from a volcano many centuries ago. It is about 300 meters in diameter and 48 meters deep during the dry season.

When you visit the the lake, you can relax and enjoy a picturesque and paronamic view. You can see many large trees and rich, lush rain forest, the home of many exotic birds and parrots, surround the lake. There is also a hill tribe village nearby.
