{Video} Cambodia Fails to Qualify For 2019 Asian Cup After Loss Against Jordan

Phnom Penh- On 15^th November 2017, Cambodia national football team hosted a football match against Jordan in the 2019 Asian Cup Qualify round. The match took place at Olympic Stadium, Phnom Penh.

It began with the several attempts and chances for both team, until the minute of 17’ when the Jordan team scored a goal with the great passed from the midfielder Rajaei Ayed Fadal Hasan, sealing a 1-0 win over Cambodia.

Even there are many chances created by both teams, both of them still could not find any goals until the final whistle. As a result, Cambodia 0-1 Jordan.

This victory at Olympic Stadium has secured the west Asian nation in Group C to qualify for next round, after being in the top 2 of the group, setting down the Cambodia’s Asian Cup qualification hopes to an end. The Jordan team will face off against Vietnamese National Team on their sixth match with aim for the top spot.

However, behind the impressive scene on the field, it is also noticeable on the strong support from Cambodian audiences. The support from Cambodian people was impressive and it can be seen through the view from the stadium. It can be observable that Cambodian people has a strong support for the national team and it plays a vital role in the development in this sport. We hope to see the improvement in this sport in the future.
