Cambodia Soon Experience Its 4th Cold Snap Since December

Phnom Penh- According to the forecast and data provided by the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, cold winds from Siberia, China and the northeastern monsoon winds are brewing up and are starting to increase their influences along their path.

From February 4^th to 9^th, 2018, Cambodia will experience a cold snap for the fourth time since December of which the northern parts of the country will be most affected. The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology warns everyone especially in the northern parts of the country to brace for the upcoming cold snap to which some parts will experience a shivering temperature of 13^o

Dangrek Mountain Range, Otdar Meanchey, Preah Vihear, Stung Treng, Rattanakiri, Mondulkiri, and Pailin could drop to anywhere from 13–16 degrees Celsius. Pursat, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Siem Reap, Kampong Thom, Kampong Cham, Tbong Khmum, Kratie and Koh Kong will reach a minimum of 17–18 degrees Celsius.

As for Phnom Penh, temperatures will reach 19 – 20 degrees. Kep, Kampot and Preah Sihanoukville, will reach 23 – 24 degrees Celsius. With temperatures reaching this low for several days, it would be a good time to wear those fashionable sweaters and outfits suiting the cold.
