Cambodia Stands in the 8th on the Medal Tally As of 30 August

Athletes from Cambodia have gathered for the competition from Aug 19-31 at the 29th Sea Games 2017 and we have already won three gold medals.

As of 30 August 2017, Cambodia is in the 8th place on the Medal Tally table with 3 gold medals behind The Philippine with 24 gold medals and Myanmar with 7 gold medals at the ongoing 29th SEA Games.

Cambodia won first gold medal of Sea Games 2017 in woman’s Petanque doubles. The Cambodian pair of Ke Leng and Ouk Sreymom defeated Thailand pair 13-10 to win the country’s first SEA Games in 2017 gold medal.

Cambodia continued to win its second gold medal in boxing by defeating Thailand on 27th August 2017. Khim Dima, a Cambodian boxer, finished the rounds and scored 29 points, with Thailand scored 28 points and taking silver.

The third gold medal is done by Sorn Seavmey. She defeated her Philippine opponent and won gold medal in Taekwondo under 73 KG.
