Cambodian Athlete Finishes in 133th in Mini-Marathon at Olympic Games

H.E Vath Chomrouen, Secretary General of National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) told reporters from Brazil on 15th August 2016 that, Ly Nary who is a Cambodian Athlete has finished in 133 rank in Mini-Marathon of Olympic Games 2016, which joined by another athletes from 157 countries.

The Cambodian athlete spends 3hours 20minutes and 25seconds in 42 kilometers mini-marathon, this means that she can’t break her own record (2hour and 59minutes) and will not get any medals. H.E Vath Chomroeun has explained that, not only Nary can’t break her own record even the first, the second, and the third rank can’t break their own records. Furthermore, some athletes gave up in a half way, they couldn’t even reach the final line because of the hottest weather and meandering roads.

Cambodia still has 2 athletes who haven’t competed in Olympic Games 2016 yet.
