Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Dies
Cambodian government announced Wednesday that Deputy Prime Minister, died today in Beijing hospital.
Sok An, 66, who has served as minister of the Office of the Council of Ministers since 1992, and promoted as deputy prime minister and minister with the same portfolio from 2004, passed away on Wednesday in Beijing where he had received medical treatment over the past few days.
He died of illness at 6:32 pm on Wednesday at Beijing hospital in China,according to the government statement. His dead body will be flown back to Cambodia at around 3 am on Thursday,Prime Minister Hun Sen flew to Beijing on Monday, according to government sources.

Sok An was Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1981 and posted as Ambassador to India in 1985, and deputy foreign minister in 1988.
During his tenure, Sok An had held many jobs including overseeing Angkor Wat temples archeology, airlines industry, and chief negotiator with the United Nations on establishment of Khmer Rouge tribunal.
