PHNOM PENH- People are shocked and saddened following the death of Cambodian peacekeepers, who lost their lives in Central African Republic (CAR).

On 8^th of May, a Cambodian peacekeeper lost his life in a peacekeeping mission in the framework of the United Nation in Central African Republic, while the other three still missing by the attack from a group of rebels.

The aim of attack is to free comrades, who had been detained by Moroccan forces working with Cambodian troops in CAR.

The news of the death and missing of Cambodian peacekeepers reached Cambodian citizens after Prime Minister Hun Sen and South Korean Ambassador announced on Tuesday 9^th of May 2017.

However, according to the latest reports, the three missing soldiers also found dead about 2km from the gunpoint. As a result, 4 Cambodian peacekeepers were killed during the attack.

The victims were identified as Seang Norint (Warrant Officer), Mom Tola (Assisatant Warrant Officer), Mao Eng (Medial Staff), and Lieutenant Im Sam.
