PHNOM PENH-  Angkor Sankranta’s official commercial video gains attention domestically and internationally.

On the 6^th of March, Angkor Sankranta’s official Facebook page released its official commercial for “Angkor Sankranta 2017”. The video staring Mean Sonyta, an actress known as “Reachany Kroma” who promotes as well as empowering the value of Kroma Khmer.

The video is 32-second long but it has hyped the upcoming Khmer New Year celebration because it shows the breath-taking view of temple of the k ingdom of Cambodia as well as other activities such as traditional game, dance, art performance, and the precious identity of Cambodian.

Importantly, the video of the commercial shows up on CNN, which is the worldwide news media. At the same time, the video also gains lot of attentions from local people,especially netizens. This high quality video surprises Cambodians, because Angkor Sankranta is one of the Cambodia biggest and the long-awaited celebrations in Cambodia.

According to Angkor Sankranta’s application, it is the biggest Khmer New Year celebration in Cambodia. The term “Angkor Sankranta is recognized by the National Khmer Linguistic Council, and “ Sankranta” refer to the upcoming of Khmer New Year. Moreover, Angkor Sankranta is organized by Union of Youth Federation of Cambodia with an aims to promote the national pride and to attract more tourists to visit Siem Reap province as well as The Kingdom of Cambodia.

Angkor Sankranta is all about one identity, solidarity, unity, happiness, one nation and the sense of belonging one Khmer Family. This biggest celebration, to be held during Khmer New Year.
