Cambodia’s Thnot Organic Sugar Won First Prize at ASEAN Food Conference

Phnom Penh- Cambodia has again received another great achievement upon participating in the 15th ASEAN Food Conference earlier this November.

Thnot Organic Sugar by Confirel, a Cambodian-based enterprise that offers a large variety of authentic Khmer products, has won first prize at the 15th ASEAN Food Conference that was recently held on November 14^th-17^th, at the Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Cambodia’s Thnot Organic Sugar Won First Prize at ASEAN Food Conference 

Apparently, the Thnot Organic Sugar has previously won the gold award at the Natexpo Exhibition in Paris, 2005, as well. However, this is the first time to win in ASEAN, specifically due to its nutritional qualities. This achievement has indeed help in promoting Cambodian palm sugar and expand its market economy as well.

Confirel has been working diligently with the Kompong Speu Palm Sugar Promotion Association (KSPSPA) and its members in producing palm-based products of which includes sugar, wine, vinegar, and juice. Confirel is also currently producing a wide range of Thnot sugar products including Kompong Speu Organic Sugar, the PGI Kompong Speu Thnot Sugar, and even Thnot candies available in various flavors such as original, coco, mango, pineapple, Kampot pepper, durain and banana.
