Water Festival is also one of the biggest annual festivals in the Southeast Asian region, which sees hundreds of thousands of people from across the Kingdom travelling to capital Phnom Penh to enjoy boat racings, to be held at Tonle Sap River in front of the Royal Palace.
On that occasion, besides watching the regatta at daytime, the festival-goers can enjoy the procession of illuminated floats and fireworks over the river at nighttime.
Water Festival has been cancelled in 2015, due to low water levels. Anyway, in 2014 the festival attracted more than 1 million Cambodian revelers from various provinces around the country and also too many foreigners.
