Chaktomuk Short Film Festival Is Back in Phnom Penh Again

Chaktomuk Short Film Festival (CSFF) is coming back to Cambodia with bigger and more special than ever, due to a success story.

According to an announcement posted on CSFF’s Facebook page, the event will create the chance for filmmakers, especially the local ones to show their achievements in making short film. The movies, which are officially selected, will be screening in over 10 cinemas across Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Phnom Penh- Chaktomuk Short Film Festival (CSFF) is coming back to Cambodia with bigger and more special than ever, due to a success story.

According to an announcement posted on CSFF’s Facebook page, the event will create the chance for filmmakers, especially the local ones to show their achievements in making short film. The movies, which are officially selected, will be screening in over 10 cinemas across Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Chaktomuk Short Film Festival is organized in Phnom Penh by a Cambodian film collective Kon Khmer Koun Khmer and known as the first short film festival in Cambodia, which promotes and rewards every year talented filmmakers in Cambodia as well as in the Sout-East Asia since 2012.

For the first two year (2012 and 2013), the festival was launched as a short film online competition format. In 2012 the contest was for only local filmmakers. In 2013 it aimed at both local and other SE Asian filmmakers.

The festival in 2017 will be held from 25th to 30th October, so start filming your movie from now on and submit it to this website.
