Consumption and Sales of Alcohols Banned During The Commune Election
The government of Cambodia has recently made an announcement regarding the commune election coming up this June 4th.
With the commune election is soon approaching, the government of Cambodia had announced the banning of alcohol sales and consumption for two days, June 3rd & 4th, in order to ensure peaceful and smooth process of the election, without any violence, intimidations, or any unforeseen threats causing by the alcohols.
Phnom Penh─ The government of Cambodia has recently made an announcement regarding the commune election coming up this June 4th.
With the commune election is soon approaching, the government of Cambodia had announced the banning of alcohol sales and consumption for two days, June 3rd & 4th, in order to ensure peaceful and smooth process of the election, without any violence, intimidations, or any unforeseen threats causing by the alcohols.
According to the statement, alcohol consumption may lead to violence, traffic accidents, social instability, crimes as well as negatively impact the public order in the society. Thus, both domestic citizens and foreigners living in Cambodia are highly encouraged to cooperate with the authorities and the sellers in halting the sales and consumption of any types of alcohol for these two days.
The Ministry of Information together with the National Election Committee and other related public institutions are also instructed to spread this news to the public through all media platforms so that the enforcement will be effective.
