Phnom Penh─ A late-night commotion caused by a drunk driver has stirred up the streets in Phnom Penh recently on March 4th, 2017.
The incident happened at around 10pm along the Russian Boulevard, when a Lexus RX-400, which was driving back from Kompong Speu, got harassed by a white Ford Ranger, which was appeared to be driven by a drunk driver.
According to the victims, there were 2 people in the white Ford Ranger car, and they have never known or have any problems with those two guys before.
As can be seen in the video, recorded by the Lexus RX-400’s camera, the white Ford Ranger was driving in the wrong direction, almost hitting the Lexus RX-400 in the middle of the road. As a result, the owner of the Lexus RX-400, pressed the car horn in order to avoid causing any accidents.
However, after a few seconds, the white Ford Ranger reversed its direction and started to follow the Lexus RX-400 up until the January 5 Sky Bridge, and violently hitting the side mirror of the Lexus with an unknown object. The victims who were the owner of the Lexus RX-400 even apologized, because they did not want any further conflicts, and even drove to the Ministry of Defense to ask for help and authorization. What’s even more surprising is that, the Ford Ranger’s guys hopped off from their car, proceed to break the Lexus’s side and back mirror, return back to the car and drove away.
Fortunately, the car camera managed to capture the plate number of that aggressive car, PP 2AN-3591, in which seems to be owned under the name of “Chea Theavy”. The culprit has yet to be caught, but the authorities are in the process of investigating and catching them as soon as possible.
