“First They Killed My Father” by Angelina, Held Next Month in Siem Reap

“First They Killed My Father” is expected to be one of the most awaited movies in 2017

Phnom Penh- It’s really great and a great new especially for Cambodian people after a movie “First They Killed My Father” was announced to release in this year.

According to Angelina Jolie/ Angie Facebook page, The World Premiere of “First They Killed My Father” will be held in Siem Reap, Cambodia on the 18^th of February, 2017. And the movie will be released internationally on the 15^th of September, 2017, via Netflix.

Coming along with teaser, the movie is expected to be one of the most awaited movies in 2017, especially for Cambodian people.

“First They Killed My Father” is the adaption of Cambodian author and human rights activist Loung Ung’s gripping memoir of surviving the deadly Khmer Rouge regime from 1975 to 1978. The story is told through her eyes, from the age of five, when the Khmer Rouge came to power, to nine years old. The film depicts the indomitable spirit and devotion of Loung and her family as they struggle to stay together during the Khmer Rouge years, based on Facebook page.
