Improvisation machine, which makes garbage into fertilizer, conducts in August

Phnom Penh- Phnom Penh Municipality collaborated with a local firm to announce the process of improvisation machine to make garbage into fertilizer in August, for solving some problems related to environment pollution and also decreasing garbage in Phnom Penh capital city, report said.

Mr. Keo Chan Narith, chief manager of dumping site locates at Dongkor district, told reporters via phone on 19^th July 2016, this kind of improvisation machine was imported from Thailand, which costs about 500,000 USD, and it can improvise garbage 100-150 tons in a day. Nowadays, experts are installing and it will operate in August.

Mr. Keo added that, garbage which was brought to improvise to fertilizer, is a kind of garbage that called residue from people such as any wastes from kitchen, because in a day we load about 200 tons of garbage to the dumping site.

He also claimed that, “fertilizer which we get from the improvisation, we will find market for importing to any people at provinces, by instructing and explaining them to use this kind of fertilizer that has no chemical and can’t affect human’s health, especially suitable price”.

“Bringing this improvisation machine is the first step in the plan to decrease garbage in city. If it is successful, Phnom Penh Municipality will bring 2 or 3 more machines”.

Recently, dumping site in Dongkor district is holding garbage more than 4 million tons, while garbage load outside the city is about 1800-2000 tons in a day, report from Phnom Penh Municipality.
