Legend Cinemas Shows Fully Support For The Arrival of “First They Killed My Father”

Phnom Penh- Cinemas in Cambodia have shown their fully support for the most awaiting movie, “First They Killed My Father”, by providing more and more showtimes.

“First They Killed My Father”, directed by Angelina Jolie, is released on Netflix, this September 15^th, however, it was distributed to make an advance screening in Cambodia from the 8^th of September onward.

“First They Killed My Father”, is not just supposed to be the most anticipated movies amongst Cambodian people, but it has received a standing ovation for its North American debut at the Tellluride Film Festival in Colorado, USA. Moreover, this movie has been mentioned as the best directorial work of Angelina Jolie.

“Frist They Killed My Father”, the film adaption of Cambodian author and Human Rights activist, Loung Ung’s bitter memoir of surviving the deadly Khmer Rouge regime from 1975 till 1979. The movie unfolds the story of Loung Ung and her family struggling to survive the Khmer Rouge through her point of view, who was 5 years old when the Khmer Rouge consolidated the power in Cambodia.
