A Likely Discriminated Khmer Song Towards LGBT, Receives Criticisms From Netizens
A newly-released song has come under fire for its meanings and title, as many people have viewed it to be a discrimination towards LGBT group.
On Monday June 12th, Sunday Production has released a song with the title of “Jong Oy Bros Sava Klay Jea Ktery”, in which means “wanting unfaithful guy turn into gay”.
Upon the release, the song has grabbed a lot of attention; however, there were many negative responses as well. Some people have expressed disappointments, while others have expressed anger regarding the title and its meaning, in which is considered to be looking down to LGBT people.

Some have made comments that the song seems to interpret gay as bad people, and it sounds super racist and judgmental as if being a gay is awful or sickening.
All people, regardless of gender, are all humans and equal; thus, there shouldn’t be any discrimination and racism against one another, especially towards the LGBT group as they deserve to be respected just like the others as well.
