Lost Tourist Family and a Guide Have Been Rescued by Cambodian Authorities

Siem Reap- After an operation of Cambodian authorities included H.E Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism, and Siem Reap provincial governor H.E Khim Bunsong, polices, militaries, and also a helicopter, to find the tourist family and a guide who lost their way in a forest near Kbal Spean resort for a day, has now been rescued, according to the report.

At 1:30pm on 13^th August, The victim family, which has 4 members (parents and 2 children) and a guide, were rescued and fed immediately after they were seen too weak and hungry in the forest. However, they will be brought to hospital later for checking their health to make sure they are safety in both physical and mental.

H.E Khim Bunsong told that, after we catch the GPS system via their smartphones, we can assume the location where they were staying in the forest after they lost their way, which locates at the border between Banteay Srey commune and Varin commune. That’s can help our operation be successful and spend short time to accomplish.

This action can show the responsibility of the authority in looking after and protection to all foreign tourists who come to visit in any resorts of Cambodia.
