Ministry of Tourism Announces to People at Cambodian Coasts be More Careful
Phnom Penh- Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia has announced to all national and international tourists who are visiting any coasts in Cambodia, must be highly careful with the effect of typhoon OMAIS which hits from the South of China Sea, and its effect will come to some areas of Cambodia, especially Cambodian Coasts.
According to Mr. Tith Chantha, the spokesman of Ministry of Tourism, told reporters on 9th August, The Ministry has announced this news to all tourist sites in order to make a caution to all local residents and tourists both national and international, to be aware of the effect of typhoon OMAIS, while they are enjoying at the sea or traveling by boat to islands.

Many Cambodian coasts such as Koh Kong, Kompot, and Sihanouk Ville will get bad effect from typhoon OMAIS, as a result there will be heavy rains and strong winds, so local residents fishermen and tourists must be careful and avoid any problems or dangers during this time, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Water Resource and Meteorology on 8th
The spokesman has added that, The Ministry has also informed this news to authorities to get ready everywhere, every time for operating any first-aids to local residents and tourists immediately if there are any dangers.
He also told that “we have transmitted this news already, and it was very quickly because we have information centers and agencies to inform local residents and tourists to be aware and be more careful”.
