More Than 20 Casinos Operating Soon in Sihanouk Ville

Sihanouk Ville- With the expeditious increase of investment and tourism, Sihanouk Ville has become to be one of the most potential province in Cambodia, based on tourism and economic growth and especially the rapid increase number of casinos.

There are 18 to 19 casinos, which are being operated in the province so far, while other 3 or 4 casinos are being constructed. So there will be 23 or 24 casinos operating soon, according to the report.

Provincial police chief, Choun Narin, said that, “Around 4,000 Chinese people are staying in the province, some stay for long time and some stay for short time only. And this is why most of the investors, who are interested in investing in casinos, are from China”.

He added, “However, the safety and security of both national and international visitors are fully secured. At here, law is implemented for everyone, not only for Cambodian people. So people can spend their holiday to visit here without any worries”.

By increasing the number of casinos in Sihanouk Ville, the collection of income tax from casinos is also increasing.

Sihanouk Ville, a coastal city in Cambodia, is not just a well-known place for its white-sand beaches and beautiful sea, but it is also bigger port for importing and exporting products.
