New Coffee Shop in Cambodia Gets Many Criticisms For Its Own Creative

The similarity between these two coffee shops

Phnom Penh- One of the hot topics, which has appeared mostly everywhere on Facebook Page among Cambodian netizens recently, is the 95% similarity between two coffee shops in Cambodia.

The most alike two coffee shops, which one is “Café Amazon Cambodia” and another one is “Chomroeun Amazing Café”, made many people especially the Cambodians feel really surprised that make them share and show what they’re thinking on Facebook page.

Actually as we can see, these two coffee shops are really similar with both logos and brand names. We all know that Café Amazon Cambodia is a coffee shop chain owned by Thai oil and gas giant PTT Plc and has established years, before Chomroeun Amazing Café has appeared, which locates at Siem Reap province, Cambodia.

Following these, there are many criticisms toward “Chomroeun Amazing Café”.

However, the shop also posted a statement yesterday by clarifying that “We really thank to all comments for any criticism in order to improve, but actually we cannot accept those inappropriate criticisms”.

“This is business, and it needs to copy from each other. Apparently, we do not copy the taste of our coffee for others, these are from our (Cambodian) creative. We are Khmer, we need to help each other, instead of blaming. Moreover, our shop has registered for business license already. We are thankful to customers who always support us”.
