A New Digital Cinema Opening in Phnom Penh Next Month
Movie sector in Cambodia has developed rapidly. As a result, a new digital cinema has just appeared recently in Cambodia.
“Prime Cineplex” a new brand cinema, which coming from South Korea with 9 cinemas and 8 screens for each location, will be opening its first cinema in Cambodia on the 4th and 5th floor of Sovanna Shopping Center, Phnom Penh.

Phnom Penh- Movie sector in Cambodia has developed rapidly. As a result, a new digital cinema has just appeared recently in Cambodia.
“Prime Cineplex” a new brand cinema, which coming from South Korea with 9 cinemas and 8 screens for each location, will be opening its first cinema in Cambodia on the 4th and 5th floor of Sovanna Shopping Center, Phnom Penh.
According to Mr. Tang Vengheang, General Manger of Prime Cineplex Cambodia, “Recently, we’ve just established 4 halls, which 3 halls are for 2D/3D movies and the other 1 is a VIP hall. In the future, we are going to expand 2 more halls in Sovanna Shopping Center, and 1 more cinema at Borey Vimean Phnom Penh by May or June 2017.”
“Prime Cineplex Cambodia equipped with new and modern equipment with the last version of technology for cinema, along with the 5.1 surround sound speakers which will deliver the best experience of sound system to audiences.”
Prime Cineplex is opening on the 6th of March 2017, at Sovanna Shopping Center.
Mr. Vengheang added, “There are also special promotions on the Grand Opening day which we will keep the fans updated later before the opening!”
