New Entrance Fee To Sambor Prei Kuk Temple Site Has Announced

Phnom Penh— Recently on Wednesday November 29^th, the National Authority For Sambor Prei Kuk has released an announcement regarding the new entrance fee to Sambor Prei Kuk Temple Site.

According to the National Authority For Sambor Prei Kuk, the entrance fee to the archaeological site of Sambor Prei Kuk will be  USD 10 per day, for foreigners, starting from January 1^st, 2018 onwards. Compared to the current entrance fee, the new one is apparently 3 times higher, as the current fee is only USD3/day for foreigners. On the other hand, there is no change for the local Cambodian visitors, who are permitted to do the sightseeing for free, without any payment.

The Sambor Prei Kuk archaeological site has gained the UNESCO’s World Heritage Status during the 41^st

Session of the World Heritage Committee in Poland, back then on July 8^th, becoming Cambodia’s 3^rd tangible cultural property that has been inscribed on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

Upon receiving this honorable achievement, it can be seen that the number s of tourists visiting the temple site, both national and international, have dramatically increased. The ancient yet spectacular views of the Sambor Prei Kuk Temple Site have indeed attracted a lot of visitors, in which is also good for Cambodia’s tourism industry as well.
