A New Modernization Airport Appears in Siem Reap by 2023
A new international airport will be appeared in Siem Reap, due to the exponential growth of international tourists with an aim to visit extraordinary and stunning structures of Cambodia temples and also to invest.
According to local reports, the project of constructing new airport is organized by Cambodian government with the investment from a Chinese firm called, YUNNAN Development Group, which is spending around 900 million USD. The airport will be at Sout Nikom District, Siem Reap.
The government and Cambodia Airports officially unveiled more than $900 million in construction new Airport under a modernization program.

Sin Chansivutha, the spokesman of State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA), said that “This new airport contains land area about 750 hectares, to fit enough for serving destinations from everywhere. Medium aircrafts such as 4C are permitted to use this airport”.
The construction will be completed by 2023; hopefully, this new airport will stimulate the economic growth.
