Nightmare for U-22 Cambodia Football Team After Being Defeated

Phnom Penh- Cambodia U22 national football team was very disappointed after losing the first match to Philippines 0-2 in SEA GAMES 2017, at MP Selayang Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Cambodia team showed a great performance, but they couldn’t find even a goal and also got a red card in second half. As a result, U-22 Cambodia national football team was defeated 0-2 in the first match by U-22 Philippines national football team.

U-22 Cambodia national football team was defeated 0-2 by Philippines 

Many Cambodian fans didn’t satisfy with this result, because they expected the better result and 3 points for the team. However, some fans still keep showing their support and praising the players.

Mr. Leonardo Vitorino, Cambodia U22’s coach said, “Most of our players are still young, and they haven’t had enough experience to play in the international tournament, especially away from home. And that’s why, they couldn’t perform really well yesterday. By the way, I still have high expectation toward the team and hope that they will do better for the next match”.

Cambodia U22 football team is going to play against Vietnam for the next match at 3:00 pm on 17^th, August 2017.
