One More International Airport Appear in Cambodia Soon
Cambodia will have one more international airport soon, responding to the increase numbers of international visitors and air shipping recently.
According to local reports, the project of constructing new airport is organized by Cambodian government and Union Development Group, which is spending around 50 million USD. The new international airport will be at Botum Sakor district, Koh Kong province, Cambodia.
Phnom Penh- Cambodia will have one more international airport soon, responding to the increase numbers of international visitors and air shipping recently.
According to local reports, the project of constructing new airport is organized by Cambodian government and Union Development Group, which is spending around 350 million USD. The new international airport will be at Botum Sakor district, Koh Kong province, Cambodia.
Sin Chansivutha, the spokesman of State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA), said that, “The project is invested by a Chinese firm called, Union Development Group. During this time, it is already in rainy season, so the construction will start slowly.”
He added, “The airport contains land area about 750 hectares, to fit enough for serving destinations from everywhere. Medium aircrafts such as 4C are permitted to use this airport. Moreover, the study of environment impact by Ministry of Environment and the study of erection by Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction are underway”.
The date of finishing construction is not confirmed yet, however, the new international standard airport will appear in Cambodia soon.
