Phnom Penh (FN), July 16 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen met with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on July 16, 2016 on Cambodia-Japan Bilateral Cooperation. The premier also mentioned the direct flight from Japan-Cambodia in the upcoming September 2016. Besides, he also talked about the trade value between both countries which worth 1,000 million USD with the increase on investment and tourism.

On his Facebook page, PM Hun Sen wrote, “This morning I met and discussed with Shinzo Abe, focusing on bilateral cooperation between Cambodia and Japan; the direct flight which will be available in September 2016; trade value between both countries worth 1,000 million USD with the increase on investment and tourism; besides, I also mentioned the cooperation to promote UN peacekeeping force”.

According to the premier, Japanese Prime Minister requested the presence of young leader Hun Manet to visit Japan. On behalf of Manet’s father, the premier would like to thank Japanese PM Shinzo Abe for befriending his son.

This is the second time that Manet has been requested to visit Japan. The first request was made by Japanese PM Hatoyama. This is the honor of Cambodia that a world’s leader expressed interest in youth’s activities which served as a model for other youths.
