Police Subdues a Brothel Covers as Hairdresser’s

Phnom Penh- On 9^th August 2016, Brigadier General Prum Sonthor, Phnom Penh’s deputy police chief and the superior of head office, lead the force of anti-human trafficking and minor protection to subdue a brothel covered as a Hairdresser’s which locates at Psar Tmey district, Daun Penh commune, Phnom Penh, under the command of General Choun Sovann, chief of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police, with the compromise from Mr. Ly Sophanna, deputy prosecutor of Municipal Court.

In this operation, 19 were arrested including 10 masseuses, 1 hairdresser, 2 guests which coming for sex, and a woman who is a brothel’s owner name Chan Thea, 44, Cambodian, according to the report.

Police told that, the place is opened as a Hairdresser’s and Massage shop, but it opens secretly a brothel behind. When guests have had a hair cut already, they were asked whether they want to get massage service or not. So if they want, they were invited to the room behind but actually it’s a room for sex.

However, after the operation, those people were brought to the office for further questioning and investigation.
