Popular Khmer Novel To Remake Into Theater Performance
Aiming to promote Khmer’s glorious arts and cultures, especially among the younger generations, Khmer Art Action is remaking one of the popular Khmer fiction novels, “Driver Horm”, into a theater performance on March 19th, 2017.
Written by Pov Yu Leng and Um Choeurn in 1956, “Driver Horm” was appointed by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport to be used in the Cambodian’s education curriculum as the novel’s storyline was reflecting the prevalent issues, justice and injustice in the society during that period of time.

Phnom Penh─ Aiming to promote Khmer’s glorious arts and cultures, especially among the younger generations, Khmer Art Action is remaking one of the popular Khmer fiction novels, “Driver Horm”, into a theater performance on March 19th, 2017.

With the ticket price of only 10,000 Riel, the theater performance of “Driver Horm” will be playing at Chaktomuk Conference Hall from 2.30pm till 5pm.
This project has gained huge support from the netizens, because they believe that it will help to keep Khmer’s literature, arts and cultures alive, preventing it from getting buried and fading away due to the overexposure to foreign cultures and influences.
