Press Conference on the Cambodian Movies in Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh- The press conference on the Cambodian movies distributed by PuPrum Entertainment is held on September 19, 2016, from 10 am to 12 pm, at VIP Lounge of Major Cineplex by Cellcard, 2nd Floor AEON Mall.  

The organizer will also invite a number of Cambodian filmmakers, producers and actors to this event so they can network and explore a wide variety of ways to distribute and promote their movies to cinemas. The event will present the trailers of the four movies to be distributed by PuPrum: “Welcome to Hell”, “Diamond Island”, “Vikalcharet” and “Love to the Power of 4”. This will be followed by questions and answers.  

“Although the Cambodian cinema is not yet advanced, promotions and campaigns to mobilize the audiences to watch national movies encourage local producers to get dynamic in their work and improve it from one to another”, remarked Mr. SIN Chansaya, Director of Department of Cinema and Cultural Diffusion. “Therefore, I’d like to support the foundation of such a company as PuPrum, in order to assist local productions with enhanced productivity, fame and extra income.” 

PuPrum has been operated since early 2016. The first movie it distributed in past May was titled “Poppy Goes to Hollywood”, screened in modern cinemas in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap such as Legend Cinemas, Major Cineplex by Cellcard and Platinum Cineplex. Besides the four movies to release consecutively in the next quarter, the company has already received a series of movie projects for next years. 

“From now on, local productions should be no longer worried about theatrical distribution and marketing of their movies,” stated Mr. CHY Sila, CEO of PuPrum Entertainment. “PuPrum has been founded to facilitate these processes, which allow local producers to save time, expand their promotional scope and earn additional revenues, through eventual overseas distribution and videos-on-demand platforms.”
