Recently, Raksmey Hangmeas Production, which is one of a top entertainment music productions in Cambodia, has introduced people to their next trending music by releasing the official audio of “Roim Njek” ahead of Khmer New Year.

“Roim Njek”, which can be translated in English as “Dance Like This!”, is a fun song that includes a funny lyric as well as the dance move.


The top two singers, who sing the song

Originally, the song is sung by two top famous Khmer singers, Mr. Preap Sovath and Ms. Ouk Sokun Kanha. The backstory of this song is the reason which led it to be extremely popular among all ages of Cambodian. It begins when the two singer meet. The male singer kicks off the song by asking the question “Hello ! What are you doing” in Khmer and then the female singer answers back immediately in a melodic way “Roim Njek, Njek, Njek, Njek’’ which also means “Dance like this, like this, like this, like this’’. After that, they get on the floor and dance off their feet.

Netizens in every ages start dancing to this song. Some dances to this song in public when they do the evening exercise while the other do a dance cover. The song is being played on the street and when you go to YouTube or Facebook, you can simply see the dance cover videos of this song.
