Thai Film Festival 2017 Celebrated Along With The Participation of Thai and Khmer Stars
Thai Film Festival is back again for 2017, along with the huge and special event, also exciting Thai movies.
On Wednesday morning the 7th of June, The Semina and Business Matching of Thai Film Festival 2017 was held at Sofitel Phokeethra Phnom Penh Hotel, Phnom Penh. During the event, Mr. Pok Borak, Acting Director, Department of Cinema and Cultural Diffusion, said that, “The relationship between Cambodia and Thailand is so long and very close. Both governments always encourage to cooperate each other in many sectors”.
He added, “As an example, Cambodia and Thailand have a good cooperation in movie industry, which give many benefits to both countries. Moreover, Khmer and Thai stars can share each other the experiences and learn from each other a lot. I’m very happy that this festival has been organized. It is really useful”.

Mr. JIRAWUTH SUWANNA0ARI, Minister Counsellor (Commercial) of DITP, also stated that, “the festival is organized with the help of Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia. We really thank for such a warm cooperation. And I hope to see more and more events or festival with the cooperation of both countries”.
In the evening, there is a special event at Major Cineplex by Cellcard, AEON Mall, Phnom Penh, with the present of Thai officials from Commercial Affairs of Royal Thai Embassy, Cambodian officials, His and Her Excellencies, Khmer and Thai stars, and also many fans.

The event aim to promote Thai movies into Khmer movie industry and also share the experiences among Thai stars. However, Thai Film Festival will hold from 7th June to 11th June, with the free screening of many popular Thai movies such as “Suddenly Twenty”, “The Lost Case”, “I Love You Two”, “The Moment” and “Joking Jazz 4G”.
