A popular game by the name of “Angry Birds” has turned into an animated feature entitled “The Angry Birds Movie”.

“The Angry Birds Movie”, directed by Fergal Reilly and Clay Kaytis and produced by John Cohen and Catherine Winder, has a cast made up of famous movie stars such as Jason Sudeikis, voicing ‪Red‬‬‬‬‬‬; Josh Gad, voicing Chuck; Danny McBride, voicing Bomb; and Maya Rudolph, voicing Matilda.

Red, one of the flightless birds living on the idyllic Bird Island, can’t help being angry all the time and ends up getting sent to anger management class, where he meets fellow Angry Birds, Chuck and Bomb. Life on the island is turned upside down with the arrival of a Pig pirate ship, captained by Leonard.

Red, Chuck and Bomb go in search of a legendary savior, Great Eagle, to save the island. When that proves to be a fruitless attempt, it is up to Red to teach an entire civilization how to get angry and plan an attack on Piggy Island.

Watch “The Angry Birds Movie” in cinemas from today onwards in all theaters.

Produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau, the film is directed by Robert Rodriguez from a screenplay by Cameron and Laeta Kalogridis. The film stars Rosa Salazar in the title role, with supporting roles portrayed by Christoph Waltz, Jennifer Connelly, Mahershala Ali, Ed Skrein, Jackie Earle Haley and Keean Johnson.

First officially announced in 2003, production on and release of the film were repeatedly delayed due to Cameron’s work on Avatarand its sequels. After years of languishing in development hell, Rodriguez was announced as the film’s director in April 2016, with Salazar being cast the following month. Principal photography began in Austin, Texas in October 2016, lasting through February 2017.
