Two New Bridges in Phnom Penh Opening Before Khmer New Year

Phnom Penh- Answering traffic congestion issues in Phnom Penh, especially during Khmer New Year which is coming soon, the government of Cambodia will open two new sky bridges for the public.

The fifth sky bridge, Psa Dey Huy Sky Bridge, is one of the two sky bridges that will be opened for public during Khmer New Year. Until now, the construction is nearly completed and expected to be ready for welcoming both international and national travelers before April 2018.

Psa Dey Huy Sky Bridge, is an overpass at the intersection between Dey Huy Market, Russain Boulevard and Hanoi Street. It will measure 605 meters in length and 17 meters in width.

Another one is the steel bridge, which is situated on the National Road 5 that links Russey Keo to another side of Tonle Sap. The bridge is constructed with the aim to address traffic congestion issue, while the Old Chroy Changva bridge is under rehabilitation.

According to reports, the steel bridge is expected to be completed during April, before Khmer New Year. It will measure 506 meters in length and 12 meters in width.

It’s such a good news that two bridges will be completed soon because the will be more and more traffic jams in Phnom Penh during Khmer New Year, as Cambodian people make their ways to provinces around Cambodia.
