Uber, Introduced to Phnom Penh For The First Time

Phnom Penh- Uber, a ridesharing app for fast, and reliable rides in minutes, days and nights. It was found by Travis Kalanick and Garret Camp on 2009. It is another form of transport and provides lower fare. It is available in 570 cities worldwide.

Recently, Uber has announced to start the trial version in Phnom Penh for the first time. Earlier this year, Uber representatives, Chan Park, has visited Cambodia to discuss about Uber service with Minister of Commerce.

Last month, Uber was making a quiet entrance to Phnom Penh, according to local report. Here, how to use Uber service:

– Launch the app and tell where you want to go

– The app uses your locations so the drivers know where to pick you up.

– You will see driver’s picture, vehicle details, and price, and can track the arrival of the driver on the app

– Payment can be made by credit card or cash and you’ll also get a receipt on your email.

– After the ride, you can rate the driver and provide feedback to help us improve the Uber experience.

Moreover, Uber also sets its popular pick-up spot in Phnom Penh such as Phnom Penh International Airport, One Stop Hotel, Khmer House’s BBQ, Mekong View Tower, and many places around the city. Besides this, the popular destinations will include Toul Sleng Prison Museum, Eric Kayser- Royal Palace, Colina Boutique Hotel, and also Phnom Penh International Airport.
