US Embassy Funds Almost 10K USD to A Cambodian To Release His New Album
A Cambodian man has revealed that the US Embassy in Cambodia will spend approximately USD 10,000 to help him release his new album.
Young Yorn explained the motivation behind the US embassy supporting his work is because he has composed many songs about the US territory.
In 2013, the US embassy allowed him to sing and conduct a seminar in the US. At that time, he sang a song called,“The Beauty of Florida”, in ‘Hear My Song’ program of Saby, in which he won the second place and started to gain recognition. Then, he has continued composing more songs about the US.

The work of the Khmer-American cultural relations of Young Yorn has given him the opportunity, by the US ambassador, to write a proposal for the budget to produce a complete album.
He said, “My new album is being planed to launch by the US ambassador by featuring the original 11 tracks, 4 songs with MV and another 7 songs, which are scheduled to complete after receiving the budget from a special event that will be held on 15th December 2017, at CKCC, Phnom Penh”.
To be noted that Young Yorn has previously written four songs, including “The Beauty of Florida”, “Memory of Minnesota”, “Farewell Chicago”, and “Lowell Rose”. Moreover, he has been singing in the US 4 times.
