{Video} Himawari Hotel Celebrates Christmas Fair with CIAPP’s Toddlers

Phnom Penh- On 16^th December 2017, Himawari Hotel held their 3^rd Christmas Fair as well as hosting the CIAPP’s (Cambodia International Academy of Phnom Penh) annual Family Day event under the theme of “Traditions”.

Both events were free for admission.

The Christmas fair was organized in order to raise and support art and crafts in Cambodia with the help of Local Organizations and NGOs. Families from various ethnic backgrounds gathered for the fair to visit a mix between traditional Khmer products and traditional Christmas products.

In the center lobby of Himawari Hotel, a Christmas tree stood in the middle of the event. Christmas lullabies and gingerbread cookies, toys and along with other artistic handmade products were present.

As for the CIAPP’s Annual Family Day event, children from grade K2 to 5^th grade performed a variety of fashion shows representing what they called “UN Representatives”, where they dressed up in different cultural clothing form all over the world.

Furthermore, there was a small cultural fair project where students built up science boards to represent the history and background of their assigned countries. The event also had the evolution of Khmer fashion dating from ancient times to modern day fashion where it included children ages from 5 to 10-year-olds walking the red carpet for the demonstration.

Both joint-events held a ground where parents and especially children enjoyed much fun for the intended Christmas celebration.
