“Wash It”, The New Original Song By The Disabled People Gains Attention
Last Sunday, March 26th, a brand new original song, “Wash It”, or known in Khmer as “Leang Somart”, has gained a lot of attention among the netizens after it was released on Facebook.
With addictive melody and meaningful message, “Wash It” is produced by WaterAid Cambodia together with Epic Arts organization, aims to raise the awareness about the importance of having good hygiene by always remember to wash and clean our hands.
WaterAid Cambodia has been dedicated in improving the access to water, hygiene, and sanitation for the poor people, whereas Epic Arts is a disability arts charity that reaches out to those with physical and learning disabilities, in which promotes integration of people with both abilities and disabilities by the use of arts.

Several Cambodian original artists were also seen to have made a cameo appearance in the music video as well, such as Bross La, P-Sand, Van Chesda, Adda, and Soria Oung.
Many netizens have shown great satisfactions towards this newly-released song, saying it’s such a great bop with deep meanings, by reminding people to always stay clean and hygienic.
This music video indeed shows that despite having disabilities, those people still have the capability and passion to do and achieve their goals. Thus, people living with disabilities should always be respected, valued, and accepted without any forms discrimination in the society.
