According to Cambodian Children’s Fund, The Neeson Cripps Academy, the world-class education academy, has officially opened on the February 16th in the heart of Steung Mean Chey’s impoverished communities, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The Neeson-Cripps Academy (NCA) is built with an aim to help the poorest children in Cambodia access the best educations. NCA also allows those impoverished children to achieve a higher education, a focus on STEM education (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).
In addition to this, NCA also provides International standard science laboratories, supporting e-learning throughout facilities, open and flexible study areas, building layout focused on collaboration, large and flexible areas for community use – including community education programs, and a teacher training hub for both CCF and public school teachers as well as the Virtual international exchanges.
The Neeson-Cripps Academy (NCA) is found by Scott Neeson’s Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF) and fully-funded as well as constructed by Velcro Companies, a technology-driven organization which commits to advance education and to improve the lives of children across the globe.
The new building of education academy
“I arrived here in 2004 with the simple aim of getting children off of the appalling Steung Meanchey garbage dump and into school,” says Scott Neeson, CCF’s Founder and Executive Director.
“We feel privileged to continue our work with the Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF) and establish the Neeson Cripps Academy to educate children who otherwise wouldn’t have access to world-class teachers and resources,” said Fraser Cameron, President and CEO, Velcro Companies.
It’s time for Cambodian Children, especially the impoverished children to step out from the poverty as well as obtaining a high education. We need more places to help support and encourage those children who are devastating, living in the darkness. The NCA is surely a new hope for them.
