Young Man Posted Illegal Drugs For Selling on Facebook, Arrested Next Day

Phnom Penh- In the morning of April 3^rd, the local authority arrested Lim Liheng, who sells the illegal drug on social media, Facebook. He was well-recognized by his Facebook account, known as Heng’MiNi SP’Team​ (SPTeam), and he was accused of the charge of the illegal drug business and was arrested at 8:30am on the Street 369 in Phum Derm Chan, Sangkat Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh.

Lim Liheng, 17, admitted that it was his account and it was his drug package. However, he mentioned that he was not the one who posted the pictures directly on the social media to sell the illegal drugs. Liheng also mentioned that his friend, known as Li Socheat, 25, posted the pictures using Liheng’s account due to the reason that they used to consume the drug together before.

“One day, just after finishing consuming the drug, I borrowed the iPad from my friend to use Facebook and forgot to log out my account from the device. Later, we had the arguments of drug consumption and I think it is Socheat who used my account to upload the pictures.” Liheng said.

The local authority also reported that after the post on Facebook has been widespread and shared for more than 2,000 times, they started the investigation before reaching the arrest. The post has been uploaded with two pictures of the packages of the drugs with the caption, stating the purpose of selling his drugs online.
