“Young Movie Writer Champion 2017” Gave Special Training for Candidates in the 3rd Round

Phnom Penh- Rock Production has created a special tournament called, “Young Movie Writer Champion 2017”, in order to give a chance for budding Khmer filmmakers to showcase their talents and one of their scripts get turned into a feature-length film in Cambodia.

Reaching to the third round, the tournament found 20 potential candidates. Started from 3^rd to 7^th July, the candidates received special training to gain more knowledge, more experience, and to adjust their skills for the competition from trainers.

Those trainers are the professionals and also have many experiences in movie industry in Cambodia like:

– Mr. Cheap Sovichea, who presented about Film Industry from 1979 until present.

– Mrs. Pal Vannaryreak, who presented about how to produce film.

– Mr. Chey Sambath, who presented about how to write a movie script.

– Mrs. Pol Pisey, who presented about how to write a movie script.

– Mr. Jimmy Henderson, who presented about how to write a great movie script.

– Mr. Hout Sithan, who presented about how to write a movie script.

– Mr. Yim Sosathya, who given speak about Production and welcome speak.

After the training, candidates are required to submit their video and script. Only 10 shortlisted candidates will be chosen to the next round.

The award ceremony for “Young Movie Writer Champion 2017”, will take place on 11^th December at Chaktomuk Theater, Phnom Penh.
